about

Hi. Exoskeleton Mourning Path is made of recordings we did in Leytonstone, tucked inside an industrial estate, itself cagouled inside trainlines, houses and the marsh.

After playing at the New River Studios, it felt like we were working on something new. So we were. Instead of adding these tracks to Dissolved History, this was new. The Kingsmill stench still filtered in and the volumes were still loud but the direction had shifted.

The ecodoom had increased. The panic and the grief was very much pulled to the forefront for us in this time. Previously we'd used a broken limb from a palm tree as a percussive implement, this time round we used a tin of pickled Chinese vegetables. Both found on the road in London and both dead things, only one had packaging. Ghosts of animals and the actively fetid had returned. Carl had begun reading and watching scifi again so a Babylon 5 pun snuck into the recordings. Enjoy.
