Hi. We recorded these tracks in Walmer, Kent back in March 2020 just before the virus lockdown. The usual mixture of disbelief, sorrow, rage and fragility went into the songs as did that love of each other, soil, new homes, old friends and the fightback.
Also had that extra playfulness that always happens whenever we're in a new practice rooms for the first time. Also the first time we've recorded anyway remotely near the sea since the Groan sessions. That salt air and proper light always creeps in one way or another.
Various tracks inspired by Ursula Le Guin and Sean Bonney (RIP to both) and dedicated against Iain D***an-Sm***, that talking claw.
We're sending all proceeds from this release to Wild in the City a nonprofit that supports wellbeing by building relationships with nature in London's wild spaces. Check them out and bump up your donation if you fancy: wildinthecity.org.uk
