about

Groan is our first EP.

We've also released it on cassette but we don't have many left so we're not selling them here. If you see them at a show get one while you can. Mind you Perple Celotape shows are rarer than these cassettes.

We we recording and writing in that falling-down wall, now possibly condemned, that faces the sea and is held-together with prehistoric vines. We rerecorded Nasty Pasty as it kind of functions as our figurehead or our wee mantra that we play to loosen our muscles. Carl was taught to play sitar and taught the rudimentals of raga in Brighton so Bat Wish was our attempt to knit the first thing Carl ever learnt to some drumsmashes, bringing sludgey feedback in to fulfill the drone traditionally fulfilled by the tampura. Thank you Karima for teaching what music can be <3

The Ship, the Crashing and the Landing of the Dream is a relic from our previous band, Found My Marbles was our attempt to write the sound of a marble and I think we cracked it. Was also the first time vocals spilled out in a recording. Groan and Grave Slave are what they are and I love them.
